Ladies Division of the Saskatoon City Bonspiel
The format of the ladies division is to be 4 players whom are female.
Spares must play lead (1 spare) or lead and second (2 spares), and they also must be female.
All games will be 8 ends unless a team forfeits the game before the 8 ends are complete.
The 5-rock rule will stand.
The "tick" shot will be allowed.
Please be respectful of the two-hour game; each end should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Remember that the Ice Makers have to prepare the ice in-between draws.
If tied at the end of the 8th end, then an Extra End must be played to determine the winner of the game. If there is still no winner after the extra end, then the skip from each team will throw one rock closet to the pin. In the very rare occasion that both teams are either short of the house or covering the pin, then either a coin flip or mutually agreed upon method, not involving the use of the ice, from each team may be used to determine the winner.
If a curler on your team is late, the curler must wait until the next end to play.
All other general play rules for the game of curling can be found on the Curling Canada website, here.
